THE Guyana Government is eagerly looking forward to the fulfillment of agreements in various fields that were sealed with the Government of Kuwait following a historic visit of the Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Nasser Mohammed Al Ahmed Al-Jaber Al Sabha to Guyana three years ago. President Donald Ramotar conveyed this message after accepting letters of Credence from Kuwaiti Ambassador to Guyana Yousef Ahmad Ahdulsamad at the Office of the President yesterday.
The agreements range from cultural, economic and trade, air services, double taxation and the exploration of new avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation.
The pact on economic and trade cooperation seeks to encourage collaboration with the private sector through the establishment of joint ventures, while the other agreement on bilateral trade is meant to pave the way for the two countries to develop trade relations, expand exchange of goods and services, encourage participation in trade fairs and international markets.
