DELMAR Booker (no address given), who pleaded not guilty to fraudulent conversion on Friday last, was put on $75,000 bail by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.
Particulars of the offence said, on April 6, in Georgetown, being solely entrusted by Ashley Hyman with one Blackberry cellular phone, valued $90,000, to repair and return to her, he fraudulently converted it to his personal use.
The defendant told the Court that he has a new ‘Blackberry Torch’ to replace her lost one but the woman refused the offer and decided to proceed with the case.
Booker has to be back in Court on May 10.
