Strong competition at quarter-finals as… : GT&T Jingle & Song competition winds down

PUBLIC voting will be a part of the deciding factor for contestants to qualify to the semifinals phase of the 2013 Guyana Telephone & Telegraph Company Jingle & Song Competition. This segment will commence shortly as some forty-seven contestants have performed already in the English and Bollywood categories.
The just-concluded quarter-finals held on Wednesday and Thursday evening at the National Cultural Centre thrilled the small crowd to keen and entertaining performances amidst a flood of talent.
The Bollywood segment saw a new panel of judges while the English segment continued with the same panel that started out at the commencement of the competition.

Many of the performances delighted even the judges of both categories as the competitors brought the audience to their feet in lusty applause.
The Bollywood segment saw high caliber renditions by the contestants who boosted their performance dressing up in exquisite Indian wear.
The voting by text to the codes of individual contestants in this Bollywood segment will be influenced by the voting public’s appreciation of their singing as well as their dancing.
Meanwhile, in the English segment the voting public is likely to be swayed by the excellent performances displayed by some of the more popular contestants, even as others came out firing on all cylinders in their quest to enter the next round.
Thirty-two performances were done and the keen competition that unleashed a surge of talent will present the judges with an uphill task at this time, heading to the semifinals.
The public is invited to vote by texting to 620-vote (8683) and for the English segment E and the contestant number while for the Bollywood category B and the contestant number.
