Police destroy about 1,500 ganja plants at Old England

POLICE, conducting a drug eradication operation yesterday at Old England, Upper Demerara River, found a two-acre size field of cultivated marijuana.

About 1,500 marijuana plants, ranging in height from one foot to five feet, were destroyed, along with approximately 18,000 seedlings.
No arrest, however, was made.
