The Match prize All-rounder David Bernard played a pivotal role to catapult title-holders Jamaica to a pulsating two-wicket win over Guyana in their final round Regional Super 50 match at the Providence Stadium on Sunday night.
Opting to bat first, Guyana finished on 190 for nine after the match was reduced to 49 overs following a near half-hour rain break during the innings. Jamaica replied with 194 for 8 off their 49 overs. Seamer David Bernard was Jamaica’s best bowler with four for 24 which earned him the Man-of-the Match award. In this Adrian Narine photo Bernard is seen receiving his prize from Guyana Cricket Board treasurer Ananad Kalladeen. Looking on is former Guyana and West Indies fast bowler Colin Stuart, who was the Match Referee for the contest.
