THE cycling season will warm up this weekend when National Cycling coach Hassan Mohamed MS hosts the ninth Annual Universal Auto and General Supplies’ 11-Race Cycle Programme on Saturday, April 6, at the National Park Circuit from 09:00hrs.

In the opening events, Boys and Girls 12-14 years will compete in a 3-lap race then Veterans Under-50 battle in the 5-lap race. Following those, the Veterans Over-50 and Over-60 compete in two separate 5-lap races before the juveniles take the track in the first 10-lap race.
The BMX races then unfold as Boys Open, Boys 12-14 years and Boys 9-12 years battle over three laps in separate events.
The pace continues in the 6-9 years category as they will vie for top honours over two laps.
Mountain bikers compete in the penultimate event of the day over five laps before the feature 35-lap race that will comprise of School Boys and Invitational entries.
Managing Director of Universal and General Supplies of Hope Front Enmore, Shameer Baksh, will distribute the prizes to the winning participants.
