OSSIE Edwards, of Lot 151 Joseph Pollydore Street, Lodge, appeared before Magistrate Sueanna Lovell yesterday, charged with discharging a loaded firearm in a public place.

He pleaded not guilty to the offence, particulars of which said it was committed last January 17, on Robb Street, also in Georgetown, when he discharged a pistol within 100 yards of a public place.
Attorney-at-law Mr. Glenn Hanoman, who represented the defendant and requested that he be asked to lodge reasonable security, said Edwards had previously been on station bail and will return to court to clear his name.
With no objection from the police, the defendant was put on $60,000 bail and the case will be called, again, on May 8.
