CHAIRMAN of Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam), Mr. Parmanand Persaud has made an inspection visit to an all-weather road being built at Hampton Court on the Essequibo Coast. He said the project, being financed by government through the Regional Administration, is being done with sand, loam and crusher run materials.
It will be paved with asphalt so it would be an all- weather roadway, Persaud said, adding that all work on government projects in the region are strictly monitored by himself, the regional engineer and other staff, so as to ensure quality and the right inputs.
Several residents of the beneficiary community said they are very thankful to the government. One said the area never had a street but the People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) Administration has not only given them one but a paved and all-weather one. (Prabhulall)
