FOOD For the Poor (Guyana) Inc. has been donating thousands of pairs of footwear to female students of nursery and primary schools throughout the various administrative regions of the country, to assist them to be properly attired in their classrooms. Approximately 3,000 female students have so far benefited from this exercise which is ongoing.
Consequently, head teachers and senior teachers of the respective schools have been expressing their gratitude to the charitable organisation for its generosity.
After receiving a recent donation for her students from the entity, Tucville Primary School Head Mistress, Audrey Sue, thanked the organisation for recognising the   needs of the students and opined that the donation would bring about a marked  improvement  in school attendance.
Meanwhile, the Senior Assistant Mistress of Sophia Primary School,  after receiving their donation, speaking on behalf of the teachers and students, said the kind gesture would enhance the appearance of their female students.
