THE penultimate day of action unravels today in the Petra/Milo Under-20 Schools Football competition at the Ministry of Education Ground (MOE) where the semi-finals take place. Action gets under way at 16:00hrs with the first match between Carmel Secondary and St George’s Secondary. These two teams have shown their relentlessness in both the round robin and knockout tournament.
An intriguing battle is expected as the St George’s contingent boasts very strong strikers such as Ozeal Small, Shane Morris and Quancy Laurence while team defence is quite resolute.
Carmel Secondary, on the other hand, are a side who go all out in their battles. They’re good at immobilising the opposition while still being able to counterattack. They will be led by Marlon Nedd who comes off a hat-trick in the quarterfinal round.
In the other match which begins at 18:00hrs between South Ruimveldt and Tucville Secondary, supporters can expect to be treated to a good game of junior football.
These two sides are known to produce talented young players as they are located in popular foot-balling communities.
This match will be one very hard to predict since these sides have not had much trouble with any opposition so far. They are both strong defensively and offensively but the team to prevail will be the one that makes the least mistakes.
