THIRTY-SEVEN-YEAR-OLD Shawn Yhap (no address given) appeared before Magistrate Sueanna Lovell yesterday, charged with simple larceny.
He pleaded not guilty to the offence, particulars of which said, on Friday, March 15, in Water Street, Georgetown, he stole one T-Mobile cellular phone, valued $75,000, property of Dwayne Peters. Police Corporal Denise Booker, prosecuting, said the virtual complainant is a taxi driver and the defendant borrowed the phone to make a call but did not return it.
