LOCAL golfers will storm the Lusignan Golf Club tomorrow, to do battle in the Annual Mings Products and Services (MPS)-sponsored Medal Play tournament which tees off at 12:00hrs at that East Coast Demerara location.
Most of the country’s leading golfers will be vying for top honours in the one-day tournament which has several attractive prizes up for grabs.
Ardent golfer and Managing Director of MPS, Colin Ming, will be one of the golfers in action in this much anticipated tournament, with several others looking to capture the coveted title.
Also expected to be featured in the lineup are reigning Guyana Open champion Avinash Persaud, last weekend’s winner Gavin Todd, Carlos Adams, Dave Mohamed, Mohanlall Dinnanauth, Imran Khan, Brian Hackett, William Walker and Maurice Solomon.
The likes of Kishan Bacchus, Robert Hanoman, Clifford Reis, Chatterpaul Deo, Muntaz Haniff, Fazil Deo, Troy Cadogan, Mark Lashley, Jerome Khan, Munaff Arjune, Mike Guyadin, Christine Sukhram, Patrick Pradshad, Andre Cummings, Ayube Ali, Ronald Bulkan, Sookram Deosarran and Brian Glasford are also expected to be among the list of golfers who are asked to assemble at the venue at 11:45hrs.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three players with the best net scores as well as Nearest to the Pin and Best Gross and according to Dave Mohammed, who is the secretary of the LGC, the course is in top shape for tomorrow’s action.
