THE police and fire-fighters on the West Coast of Berbice  were last night called upon to respond to an accident and fire scene. This publication was informed that a BMW motorcar, PLL 4673, burst into flames after the driver lost control and careened off the road.

Unconfirmed reports up to press time had suggested that the three persons, including the driver of the car, were trapped inside.

The incident is said to have occurred at a lonely spot on the road. (More details in tomorrow’s edition)
