THE judge and jury in the Mon Repos murder case yesterday heard a sad story about how Munilall Mangru called ‘Boy’ was beaten to death by two men and thrown under a bridge at Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara. Indicted for the unlawful killing of ‘Boy’ are Lloyd Rampersaud called ‘Lloydee’ and Roy Rampersaud called ‘Roy Patrick’.
They are accused of having between the 22nd and 24th of February, 2009 in the county of Demerara, murdered Munilall Mangru, called ‘Boy’.
It is said that a witness would say that he saw the deceased being beaten in front of his house at Mon Repos by the two accused. Two days later he was found dead under a bridge.
Justice Navindra Singh is presiding at the trial.
Prosecuting are Mrs. Konyo Thompson and Miss Dhanika Singh, while Mr. Euclin Gomes is the defence attorney.
The trial continues on Monday.
