ORIN Favorite (no address given) was refused bail yesterday, on charges of robbery under arms and robbery with violence. Before Magistrate Sueanna Lovell, he pleaded not guilty to three offences.
Particulars of one offence said, on February 1, being armed with a knife, he robbed Malcolm De Abreu of $140,000.
Another charge said, last October 23, he robbed Stephen Csanadi of one digital camera, valued G$45,000 and US$200 and, at the time, made use of personal violence on the virtual complainant.
Details of the third offence said, also on October 23, the defendant robbed Linda Clinch of one digital camera, valued G$60,000 and G$8,000 and, in the process, made use of personal violence on her.
Police Sergeant Alexis David-Hossanah, prosecuting, successfully objected to pre-trial freedom for Favorite, based on prevalence and seriousness of the crimes.
She informed the court that the defendant was previously convicted on a break and enter charge and has no fixed place of abode.
