JOEL Ferrier (no address given) was, yesterday, committed to stand trial in the High Court for murder. Magistrate Leron Daley ruled that there was sufficient evidence against the accused, who is charged with the October 7, 2012 killing of Brian Assanah at Light and Fourth Streets, Alberttown, Georgetown.

It is alleged that Assanah was trying to assist the police to apprehend Ferrier when the latter fatally stabbed him on the neck.
