Ex-Paramour bonded in assault case

KEILON Bishop, 24, of Lot 74 Norton Street, Lodge, Georgetown, appeared before Magistrate Sueanna Lovell yesterday and pleaded not guilty to unlawful assault causing actual bodily harm.

It is alleged that, on February 13, at Lot 87 Hunter Street, Albouystown, also in the city, he unlawfully assaulted Lindany Phillips.
Police Sergeant Denise Booker, prosecuting, said the defendant and virtual complainant had shared a common-law relationship but the former, although having moved out of the house, still visited it on numerous occasions.
The prosecutor said, on that day, the defendant went to the house, accused the virtual complainant of having another affair and became annoyed and hit her.
However, Phillips said she does not wish to give any further evidence against the defendant but requested that he be bonded and restrained from tarnishing her character.
The magistrate put Bishop on a bond and dismissed the charge against him.
