THE execution-style murders of Jason Wills and Intaz Rupnarine have both stumped the police, so far.
Crime Chief Seelall Persaud admitted, yesterday, that they have no leads in the case of Wills called ‘Teddy’, 33, of Mahdia, Potaro.
He said the two other persons in the Pine Grove Meadowbrook, Georgetown house, at the time when Wills was executed,
were both questioned and released from custody.The Deputy Commissioner (Crime) disclosed that ranks recovered a .45 and a 7.62 spent shells from the crime scene after the shooting on January 31.
The trio in the house were watching television in the living room when two gunmen jumped the fence, entered through an unlocked front door and shot Wills, a gold miner.
He had travelled from Mahdia to spend some time in the city.
In the case of businessman Rupnarine, Persaud said they are looking for a male suspect and the investigations are ongoing.
The 47-year-old man of Lot 208 Mandela Avenue, also in Georgetown, was killed by a hail of bullets when cornered in the backyard of nearby Cool Square Hotel.
He was confronted by gunmen who discharged many shots and robbed him of several pieces of gold jewellery when the former United States (U.S.) deportee fell mortally wounded.
His female companion escaped unhurt.
