AFTER four rounds of football, the thrashing of teams has not come to a halt as New Campbellville Secondary and Richard Ishmael Secondary recorded commanding wins in the Petra/Milo Under-20 Schools football competition.
On Sunday, the Ministry of Education ground bore witness to a triple-header in which New Campbellville beat Sophia Special School 4-0, Richard Ishmael thrashed Central High School 5-0 and Carmel got past Chase’s Academy 2-1.
The competition continues this weekend at the same venue with two more triple-headers on Saturday and Sunday, both from 12:00hrs.
In the first match on Sunday, Carmel’s goals were scored by Kevin With (39th) and Marlon Nedd (44th) while Chase’s Academy had their lone goal scored by Carl Semple in the 46th minute.
In match two New Campbellville drew first blood as early as the fourth minute through a Shamar Fraser strike then they doubled the lead in the 25th minute when Keon David scored.
In the second 45 minutes of play, the other two New Campbellville goals were scored by Daniel Ross (57th) and Akeem Pinheiro (62nd).
Finally, Richard Ishmael were led by a Ronaldo Dover hat-trick, which he scored in the 22nd, 31st and 62nd minutes, while his teammates Krisstoff Watts (39th) and Raphael Fowler (74th) supported with a goal each.
