Scotiabank renews RHTYSC sponsorship … John Fernandes Ltd and Modern Optical also chip in

SCOTIABANK last Thursday handed over a cheque to the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTYSC) as a means of renewing their sponsorship of the Club’s Pro-Education Programmes.

altThe sponsorship cheque for $155 000 covers the Bank’s co-sponsorship of the club’s 13th Annual Review Magazine, 23rd Annual Awards Ceremony which is scheduled for April and the 5th Annual Scotiabank Tribute to Teachers Programme.
Long-serving RHTYSC’s Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster expressed gratitude to Scotiabank and its management especially Marketing Manager Ms Jennifer Cipriani for their support and disclosed that in 2013, special emphasis would be placed on education.
Sixty of the club’s 170 programmes/activities planned for the year would be promoting the value of education among youths and for the club’s Annual Awards Ceremony, 40 members will be receiving over $2M in trophies and prizes while the 13th Annual 48-page Review Magazine would be published in late April.
The Annual Scotiabank Tribute to Teachers Programme would be held next month with a total of 10 teachers from the Lower Corentyne area being honoured and all of the programmes sponsored by the Bank would be organised by the club’s different cricket teams under their personal development programmes.
Meanwhile, the Club also received $50 000 from John Fernandes Limited and $20 000 from Dr Jose Da Silva of Modern Optical Service, with both donations being used to purchase cricket balls for the 2013 cricket seasons.
