The food, gifts for the children and hampers for the elderly at the Christmas luncheon were all paid for by the Office of the President.
The Office of the President and the members of government have been facilitating and supporting similar activities across the country with focus on children and the elderly. President Donald Ramotar is also very much involved as he attended similar activities in Buxton and Cane Grove.
First Lady Deolatchmee has hosted several children’s party and visited the Convalescent Home, bearing gifts, while Minister of Human Services and Social Security, Dr. Jennifer Webster, visited several homes for the elderly, including Uncle Eddie’s Home, Archer’s Home and Gentle Women’s Home, and distributed hampers.(GINA)
