HEALTH Minister Dr. Bheri Ramsaran yesterday presented a wheel chair to Mr. Royston Smith, a double-amputee, who has represented Guyana at the Paralympics.

Smith, who lost his legs after being struck down several years ago, had a wheel chair which failed to work after being in constant use. The new wheel chair will enable him to be more independent and mobile. Over the years the Health Ministry has been receiving wheel chairs and other equipment from charitable organisations which they have in turn given to persons in need.
