MORE than seven hundred children from Georgetown and its immediate surroundings were yesterday feted as part of the annual radio’s Needy Children Fund Christmas Social.

The event was held in the compound of the National Communications Network Inc o Homestretch Avenue, Georgetown.
Making a surprise entrance was First Lady Deolatchmie Ramotar who immediately upon her arrival was greeted by the Chief Executive Officer of NCN and Chairman of the Radio’s Needy Fund Michael Gordon.
Mrs. Ramotar assisted in administering face paintings, the sharing of snacks and gifts to the very excited and grateful youngsters who turned out to the event.
The hallmark of the event was the arrival and presence of Santa Claus who upon his arrival mixed and mingled with the pretty bright faces and later followed in the footsteps of the First Lady.
