GREGORY Maloney (no address given) appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry yesterday, charged with assaulting his father, Winston Maloney. The defendant pleaded not guilty to the offence, particulars of which said it was committed on December 12.
Defence Counsel Paul Fung-a-Fat, requesting reasonable bail for the defendant, said he pelted his father with a shoe but no injury was caused.  
The magistrate set surety at $25,000 and the case will be called, again, on January 9, 2013.
