GWI acknowledges low service level affecting more customers

GUYANA Water Inc. (GWI) reported, yesterday, that more areas in Region Three (Essequibo Islands/West Demerara) are being affected by low water service levels, due to electricity disruptions affecting its production sites.  The utility acknowledged, in a press release, that the additional locations include Cornelia Ida, Anna Catherina, Leonora, Zeeburg and Met-en-Meerzorg on the West Coast Demerara and Tuschen and Farm, East Bank Essequibo. 
The December 13 statement advised all customers affected by low service levels that the company is providing full cooperation and assistance to Guyana Power & Light (GPLto resolve all issues affecting GWI treatment plants and well stations. 
GWI apologised to affected customers and assured them that all measures are being taken to restore normal service in the swiftest manner possible.
