FIRST Lady Deolatchmie Ramotar popped into the Administrative Department of the National Communications Network Thursday where she wrapped the first of several hundred gifts, which will be distributed this Sunday at the Radio Needy Children’s Fund Christmas party.
The party will be held in the compound of the National Communications Network on Homestretch Avenue.
The choice of gift for wrapping as chosen by the First Lady was a doll. And she proved that wrapping gifts was nothing new to her.
After wrapping the gift, the wife of President Donald Ramotar then requested a bow to pin on the top of the gift.
However, the Chairman of the Radio Needy Children’s Fund and CEO of NCN, Michael Gordon, informed Mrs Ramotar that there will be bows to go with the gifts since all have to be put in one big box prior to distribution.
Sunday’s Party will see children being brought from the various wards and communities of Georgetown and its immediate surroundings, converging on the NCN compound where they will be treated to an afternoon of fun, games and tons of excitement with Santa Claus.
The party begins at noon on Sunday.
