Teen female allegedly tries to smuggle drugs via Ogle Airport

A seventeen-year-old female who was about to board a flight at the Ogle Airport was nabbed at the facility with more than 1000 grammes of cannabis, allegedly for the purpose of trafficking; and was subsequently charged and placed before Sparendaam Magistrate Alex Moore on December 5th.

The police alleged that on Thursday, 20th October, at the Ogle International Airport, East Coast Demerara, the teen had 1464 grams of cannabis on her person for the purpose of trafficking.

After listening to the circumstances of the case, the magistrate released the teen on $100,000 bail.
