A SEARCH is continuing for 79-year-old Vibert Wilfred Solomon also called ‘Stove Man’, of Lot 11 Cemetery Road, Triumph Village, East Coast Demerara, who has been reported missing from his home, again, since last Sunday.
His daughter, Veronica Solomon is asking anyone with information leading to his whereabouts to contact the family or the nearest police station.
She told the Guyana Chronicle that her father, who lives with another sister, was put to bed around 23:00hrs on Sunday night but, when that sibling awoke about 06:00hrs the following morning, he was nowhere to be found.
Solomon said this is the third time he has disappeared but, on the two previous occasions, he was reunited with her sibling the same day. However, the family is growing worried because it has been four days now since he was last seen.
She said her father is not much of an outdoor person and is not suffering from any ailment but has low vision and, occasionally, experiences memory loss.
According to her, she has received several reports of him being seen but when she turned up at the locations, she discovered it was not him.
The woman said his disappearance has been reported to the Beterverwagting and Cove and John Police Stations, both on the East Coast of Demerara.
The man was last seen wearing a short khaki pants and a blue and white stripe shirt. His daughter said that the man’s brown boots and cap could not be found in the house, so it was concluded that he was also wearing that.
Anyone spotting this man is asked to call the nearest police station or relatives on telephone numbers 629-8502, 687-2657 or 220- 5785.
