ATTORNEY-at-Law Gordon Gilhuys and Humphrey’s Bakery yesterday joined the alliance of corporate Guyana in supporting the 23rd Kashif and Shanghai Football tournament.

At a simple joint presentation yesterday, Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major, co-Director of the Kashif and Shanghai Organisation thanked the individuals for their generosity and promised an action-packed tournament.
George Humphrey, proprietor of Humphrey’s Bakery, one of the oldest sponsors of the competition, said that he’s been with the event from the inception and his presentation was just fulfilling a promise made some 23 years ago.
Gilhuys, former president of the BK International Western Tigers, said that indirectly he would always support the tournament but this is the first time he’s making a personal donation to the organisers.
“When I was with Western Tigers, what ever I had used to go to the team directly, but now that I’m not with them, my support goes to the tournament in general,” Gilhuys noted.
