Essequibians looking for street lights at festive season

ESSEQUIBIANS living in the villages of La Belle Alliance, Windsor Castle, Walton Hall and Dartmouth are looking forward to the installation of more lights along the public road for the festive season. Several of the villagers lamented that the street lighting project was suddenly halted at La Belle Alliance and has since stalled.
Those residing in heavily populated Lima said they are anxiously awaiting the resumption while those in Danielstown, Sparta, Windsor Castle and Walton Hall expressed the same interest.
Residents of Dartmouth, Westbury and Bounty Hall are expectant, as well and one in Dartmouth advised not to bother with A Partnership for National Unity (APNU), which is People’s National Congress (PNC) that has never given street lights in Essequibo.
“We have to thank the People’s Progressive Party/Civic Government for development and progress and Minister Robeson Benn for street lights despite the Opposition budgetary cuts,” said the man who did not give his name.
The government has already installed street lights between Anna Regina to La Belle Alliance, in Hampton Court, part of Devonshire Castle in the North and, to the South of Anna Regina, Good Hope to Supenaam.
Charity is also without street lights presently.
