ROGER Archer (no address given) appeared before Magistrate Allan Wilson yesterday, charged with assaulting his reputed wife, Verena Jerome and his stepdaughter, Shaneeza Jerome. He pleaded not guilty to both charges, which said he committed the offences on November 26.
But Police Corporal Seon Blackman, prosecuting, said the defendant went home under the influence of alcohol and accused his reputed wife of removing money from his pocket.
The prosecutor said Archer pushed the woman against a refrigerator and then slapped his stepdaughter when she intervened.
The magistrate put the defendant on $10,000 bail for both charges and ordered him to keep the peace and not aggravate the situation.
The cases will be called, again, on December 6.
