A MECHANIC employed by rice miller Rupan Ramotar, of Land of Plenty on Essequibo Coast, lost his life in very tragic circumstances on Saturday while washing a combine with a pressure hose.

According to reports, the Bhiraj Bhikham, 24, of Zorg-en-Vlugt was hit in his chest by an instrument suspected to be a piece of iron which probably fell from the combine.
It was reported that the labourer was picked up in an unconscious condition and rushed to the Suddie Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police are investigating the death.
