Delta Airlines helping stranded EZjet passengers

DELTA Airlines is now on board to support the Government of Guyana in assisting stranded passengers affected by EZjet’s suspension.

altMinister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Irfaan Ali, Wednesday met with representatives of Delta Airlines to discuss measures to address the current airlift woes as we move towards the busy Christmas season and on into the new year.
Delta’s representatives Mr. Richard Pyle, the Regional District Sales Manager, and Mr. Junior Horatio, Sales Manager, pledged their assistance while endorsing Minister Ali’s plan to work on joint initiatives.
In addition, they assured that their fee structure will remain the same; their cheapest one way fare is US$360, inclusive of taxes, and the carrier will also increase its airlift, so that passengers will be able to travel on daily flights from New York for the period December 15, 2012, to January 9, 2013.
The group praised Minister Ali’s drive in developing the tourism sector and indicated that they will seek to streamline pricing and airlift issues.
And Minister Ali assured  that he will continue to work tirelessly to acquire better fuel prices for the industry.
