A suspect is in police custody following the murder of a mason on Saturday night at Zorg-en-Hoop, Blairmont, West Bank Berbice.

Police said  about 21:45 hours on Saturday night Brentnol Isaacs, 32, of Ithaca, West Bank Berbice, was among a group of men who were imbibing, when he became involved in an argument with one of them during which he was chopped about his body.
He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
The suspect has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
In a separate incident, a suspect is in custody following the murder of Yusuf Sadeek, 52, of Patentia, West Bank Demerara, on Saturday.
The police reported that  about 00:05 hours on October 27, Sadeek and another man were imbibing, when an argument ensued during which he was stabbed to his chest.
He was pronounced dead on arrival at the West Demerara Regional Hospital (WDRH).
The suspect has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigation.
