GPHC reviewing its Pest Control contract

MANAGEMENT of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) said it is in the process of reviewing its current Pest Control contract. This decision follows an investigation which was launched into the recent disfigurement of a corpse at the institution’s mortuary.

Additionally, GPHC said it has commenced cleaning of the clogged Middle Street drain in an effort to prevent flooding at the area’s pavement.

According to Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Michael Khan, “Even though this is the responsibility of the Mayor and City Council, management of GPHC felt it is imperative that the drain be cleansed in order to prevent any hazards.”

The photograph highlights the amount of sludge that GPHC’s Maintenance Team removed from the Middle Street drain. “It is a work in progress, but management is committed towards ensuring a clean environment for all staff members and patients,” Mr. Khan added. GPHC said it will also be conducting maintenance works to all of its perimeters.
