TAXI driver Edward Freeman aka Junior at around 02:00hrs yesterday morning was attacked outside his home at Sideline Dam, East La Penitence, Greater Georgetown as he was about to open his gate.

Reports are that Freeman who had arrived home was greeted by the two waiting men who opened fire on him hitting him in the neck as they quickly robbed him of his earnings and fled the scene on bicycle.
He was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) where he was admitted and surgery had been performed to have the lodged bullet removed.
Later in the morning when this newspaper visited the scene the evident broken glass and bloody pants and shoes which Freeman wore at the time of his attack was in the trunk of his motor car HB 292 outside his residence.
Freeman is said to be stable at the GPHC and police are continuing investigations.
