GUYANA & Trinidad Mutual Fire & Life Insurance Companies (GTM) opened a new branch office recently at the Guyoil Service Station, on Public Road, Diamond, East Bank Demerara. A press release, issued by the company, said the plans to develop operations in that community were initiated as a result of the demand in the expanding Diamond/Grove area.          
“This new office at Diamond will be the company’s twelfth branch office in Guyana and will offer its clients all classes of insurance, inclusive of life, property, health and motor,” the release stated.
GTM was founded in 1880 and its mission is to consistently provide sound, solid and reliable customer-oriented insurance services of the highest professional and ethical standard in Guyana and across the Caribbean, the statement said.
It added that, currently serving more than 66,000 clients in Guyana, St. Lucia, Grenada and St. Vincent, the company is the recipient of the prestigious Long Service Award from the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI).
The new branch at Diamond has four staff members, a supervisor, two customer service representatives and one sales representative.
According to Branch Supervisor, Ms. Mina Narine, the opening hours will be Monday 08:00 hrs to 16:30 hrs; Tuesday to Friday 08:00 hrs to 16:00 hrs and Saturday 09:00 hrs to 12:30 hrs.
