PROMINENT Attorney-at-Law, Vic Puran died of asphyxia due to drowning, a post-mortem performed yesterday by government pathologist Dr Nehaul Singh has revealed.

Puran’s body was found Tuesday in his vehicle when it was pulled from a canal at Esau and Jacob, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara.
It is believed that Puran died Monday night while returning from his pig farm after taking food for the animals.
Puran died just some hours after he had accompanied recently executed Ricardo Rodrigues to the police who had issued a wanted bulletin for Rodrigues.
Rodrigues had been gunned down at a city sports club.
