LEADING Prosecutor Mrs Judith Mursalin is this morning expected to deliver the opening address to the jury as the trial of Cyon Collier, called ‘Picture Boy’, for a double-murder allegedly committed in Demerara on September 23rd, 2006 begins. Represented by Attorney-at-law Mr. Lyndon Amsterdam, Collier is facing trial for the murder of Roy Walcott, called ‘Sugar’, and Carl Andrews called ‘Alo’.
The trial is expected to last 15 days, according to Senior State Counsel Mrs. Judith Mursalin, during which time the prosecution is expected to call eleven (11) witnesses.
Justice Diana Insanally, presiding, has granted the prosecution team of Mrs Judith Mursalin and Ms Diana Kaulesar an adjournment to this morning. (George Barclay)
