DWAYNE Blair, 23, of Lot 14 First Avenue, Bartica, was granted $125,000 bail, on a robbery under arms charge yesterday.

Before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, he pleaded not guilty to the offence, which alleged that, on September 24, being armed with a cutlass, he robbed Dwayne Vieira of one Iphone worth $100,000.
Police Corporal Kerry Bostwick, prosecuting, said the defendant and the virtual complainant are known to each other and the latter was in his friend’s yard when the former placed a cutlass to his neck and took away the cell phone.
Blair will make his next appearance on October 15.
