RICKEY Andrews and Colin David (no addresses given) have both been jointly charged with robbery.
In front of Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, the duo pleaded not guilty to the offence, denying that, on October 2, they robbed Vickram Persaud of things worth $11,560.
Police Corporal Kerry Bostwick, prosecuting, said the virtual complainant was walking on Hadfield Street, Georgetown, when the two defendants held his hands, took away his belongings and escaped.
But police, on mobile patrol, saw what transpired and chased and caught the robbers in a house where the cell phone was recovered, the prosecutor related.
They were put on $125,000 bail each, pending their return to court on October 15.
