THE Pepsi Sonics-organised Refresh You Game Basketball Tournament which began last weekend continues this weekend with more exciting games at the Burnham Court, Carmichael Street.
On Saturday the Third Division part of the competition continues from 19:00hrs as the Pacesetters go up against United Buxton. On Sunday the Colts take on the Panthers and Dyna Raven battle Panthers in two First Division showdowns with action tipping off at the same time.
The opening weekend of the competition saw Pacesetters defeat Nets 62–50 with Travis Burnette (20 points) leading the way for the eventual victors. He was supported by Alan Lucke who scored 18 points against the opposition who had Dunstun MacCaulay top-scoring with 15.
Dyna Ravens trounced Guardians 58-49 in the other First Division game. Germaine Slate, Tyronne Hamid and Brian Stephney scored 14, 12 and 11 points for Ravens on their way to victory.
In the Third Division category Pacesetters won against Eagles 69-61 and the Colts defeated Pepsi Sonics in a low-scoring showdown 31–23.
Panthers gained a walkover from GDF while United Buxton won against Republic Nets 68-66. Colts won against hosts Pepsi Sonics 70-69 in a nail-biting First Division showdown.
