ATTORNEY-GENERAL and Minister of Legal Affairs,Anil Nandlall, was Monday presented with a certificate from the Anna Catherina Islamic group for his outstanding contribution and support given to them over the years. Brother Hakeem Khan, making the presentation to the minister at his office, said that the minister has been contributing to the group and its initiatives which led to the recent construction of the Anna Catherina Islamic Complex.
Khan explained that the complex, located on the West Coast of Demerara Public Road, is now outfitted with living quarters, a library and a computer centre.
He added that the computer centre and the library can be accessed by both Muslims and non-Muslims, whilst the living quarters house 95% of Muslims coming to Guyana on missionary programmes.
Khan explained that Minister Nandlall is one of many local and international contributors which the group honoured to show their appreciation for their contributions to make the complex a reality.
