ALEX Barker pleaded not guilty to unlawfully assaulting Yonette Azor on August 18 at South Ruimveldt, when he appeared on Monday before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton at the Georgetown Magistrates Court. Police Corporal Shevon Jupiter, prosecuting, did not object to bail, but requested that the defendant remove from the address he shares with the virtual complainant.
The defendant told the court he would relocate to his cousin’s home, and the couple gave the court an undertaking not to have anything to do with each other until the matter is determined.

Barker was placed on $10,000 bail, and the case was set for recall on September 28.
