Thousands of Essequibians expected to gather for Gospel lime

THOUSANDS of Essequibians from across the coast and Pomeroon are expected to attend and participate in a colourful Gospel Lime at the Anna Regina Community Centre Ground on August 16. The activity which is organised by the Assembly of God Ministers’ Fewllowship, Section 10 on the Essequibo Coast, is held annually and is open to the general public.
A release from the Ministers’ Fellowship said the activity will begin at 09:00hrs with sports after which a free medical clinic will take place from 14:00 hrs on the Anna Regina Community Centre ground.
The release said doctors and nurses from the Assembly of God Ministries will conduct the clinic. Free medications will be given to patients.
The release also said several booths will be erected on the ground to showcase craft work, preserved fruits, children clothing, floral arrangement and tie-dye clothing which are done locally by church members of the various churches in the region.
Booths will also showcase bibles and CDs and DVDs with recorded sermons, gospel songs and teachings from the Holy Bible.
The release said the cost for entering the ground will be $500 for adults and $200 for children.
