Should Sir Lionel be among our great writers?

THE late Sir Lionel Luckhoo (1914-1997) internationally renowned British Guianese born; three times married, five children; two times knighted by Queen Elizabeth 11; ambassador for two sovereign nations simultaneously; named 14 years as the world’s most successful advocate (Guinness book of records); co-author of the fictional novel “The Silent Witness’ along with Dr. John Reuben Thompson, among other accomplishments.. With the release of “The Silent Witness” in 1995, I am clueless about the reviews of this book, the level of its success or whether it is currently still in circulation. I was wondering if there is anyone from the literary world of Guyana or internationally who could help me understand whether the late Sir Lionel Luckhoo’s fictional contribution would allow his name to be listed in the category of a famous Guyanese writer (past or present) such as Edgar Mittleholzer, E.R.Braithwaite, etc.

It also gives me great pleasure and honour to share with all the very personal copy of “The Silent Witness” by late Sir Lionel Luckhoo and Dr.J.R. Thompson. It is even more special with his personal message, footnotes and the one name that was mentioned in his own handwriting…
