AS Food For The Poor (FFTP) continues its charitable works, several persons have been able to benefit by experiencing some form of comfort. Last week, the organisation donated two electronic chairs to persons with disabilities: Simone Pile of the National Commission on Disability, and Stacy Johnson of the Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation Centre.
The presentation was made at the charitable organisation’s head office in Festival City, North Ruimveldt, Georgetown.
Speaking on behalf of the charity, new head of FFTP, Mr. Keith Vincent, disclosed the organisation’s pleasure at assisting the young ladies. Vincent has been heading the charity for the past week. He said this presentation will assist the young ladies tremendously in their duties, and will contribute to those duties being executed in a more efficient and speedy manner.
Administrator of the National Commission on Disability, Ms. Beverly Pile, expressed gratitude on behalf of that organisation. She underscored the importance and timeliness of the presentation, and said the chairs would help the two women access their places of work much easier.
Speaking for themselves after the presentation, both Pile and Johnson said the chairs would enhance their mobility, and assist them in their work of assisting others.
