IRVIN Griffith, 58, of ‘QQ’ Lamaha Park, appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton on Tuesday, charged with common assault. He pleaded not guilty to having, on July 1, at Mandela Avenue, also in Georgetown, unlawfully and maliciously assaulted his reputed wife, Dionne Graham.
Griffith told the Court he and the virtual complainant have three children together and all are in his care as Graham is suffering from a mental condition.
But the woman said she wants no further dealing with him as he has always been very abusive although she never reported him.
The defendant was put on $10,000 bail and warned to stay away from Graham who lamented, to the court, that “enough is enough”.
Griffith undertook to stay away from the virtual complainant after he was cautioned and ordered to return to Court on July 18.
