THE plaintiff in the Bharrat Jagdeo libel case against Freddie Kissoon, Adam Harris and the National Media & Publishing Company Limited, completed his submissions yesterday before Acting Chief Justice, Mr. Ian Chang, SC; and the defendants will begin their submissions at 1.30 pm. on July 30. The plaintiff in the matter is making the following claims from the defendants: (a) Damages in excess of ten million dollars for libel contained in an article captioned “King Kong sent his goons to disrupt the conference”, written by the first named defendant and published by the second and third named defendants in the June 28, 2010 issue of the Kaieteur News newspaper.
