Liquid throwing results in unlawful wounding charge

JAMES Primo (no address given) was ordered to post $200,000 bail yesterday, on an unlawful wounding charge. Before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, he pleaded not guilty to having, last June 13, unlawfully wounded Alvin Wayne.
Police Sergeant Philip Sheriff, prosecuting, said, that day, the virtual complainant was standing in his cousin’s yard when the defendant accused him of sending messages to him.
An argument ensued between them and the defendant threw a liquid he had in a bottle on the virtual complainant.
The Prosecutor asked that substantial surety be set and Primo has to make his next Court appearance on July 31.
